THE ENDANGERED WOMAN

I don't have that sleek hair

My complexion is not very fair

Perhaps, you don't like our features

And seriously we don't even care.

So, welcome to our world which

You may consider as a bing

For plucking eyebrows here

Is not a regular thing.

Where the hair is kinda frizzy

With no particular shade of hue

But we do have colorful bruises

As you see we're out late in the loo.

With a hairy camber on tulip

And a crooked nose above

With eyes that seem too beady

But they're only filled of love.

We smile with staggered teeth and brown gums

Our lips all chapped and pressed together

We can step out with oil on head

And go to shopping, frivolously dressed.

We don't starve ourselves for a zero waistline

As life is so short and food is so yummy.

Yes, we love our flabby stomach.

And believe it's okay to have a tummy.

Our nails don't grow right

Our teeth ain't perfectly white

And if you don't find us beautiful

The fault is in your eyes.

We really suck at walking on heels

We gave it a try and we know how it feels

It's hysterical cause we buckle and fall

So we have let go of the desire to be like a doll.

We don't have an even skin tone

And you'd appalled at our black elbows

You may observe patch of darkness on our knees

And if you say that's ugly, we say "Oh! Shut up please".

We may be foolish, we may be wise.

We come in different shapes and sizes.

And yet to be more precise.

We're like different fruits baked into a pie.

Loud, shrill, gruff, or manly

Are some categories of our voice.

We don't like to conceal our skin

Because we do know it's only a choice.

We don't judge people cause

We're the once who're often judged.

And if we try to be like them.

Our ashen life just gets smudged.

Sorry for being so shallow

Sorry for having a mind so narrow

But if you get this feeling that I'm abhorring others

Then let me make this very clear that I'm just following my arrow.

We've learned to shun your opinion

And carry on with our funny slapstick

So don't hate us, we're not  that drastic

We're just happy woman, proud not to be a plastic.
